Scratch

   Scratch Project

In digital technologies, I created quite a few scratch projects. One of them was a drawing game and I have emended it into this post! If you press the pen, you start drawing and the pen follows you mouse, but if you press space the pen stops drawing but still follows your mouse. If you hover over any colour button your pen changes colour, if you hover over erase all your pen gets erased. And finally if you hover over the BG button the background changes colour.

Tour of Europe

After a few weeks of hard work, me and 3 other individuals made a slideshow showcasing 4 countries from Europe. Each one of us chose a place and I chose Spain! I included where it was, some food from Spain, some Spanish, the currency of Spain and some extra facts. My group did similar, (we only have one unfinished country) but added a bit more because they had more time. This was really fun, because I got to learn all types of things and know more about my ancestors country.
Here's the slide!

Harry Potter {Hero's Quest}

In English we did a follow up to my previous post {Hero's Quest Never Ending Story} and we got to choose a movie that we had watched this time! Because I'm a HUGE Harry Potter fan I chose the first movie of the series, Harry Potter and the Philosophers stone. I used Kapwing {Again!} and I still got the great results like last time, plus this time I logged in so there was no watermark! The only problem I faced while creating this slide is that I couldn't do the whole movie. I put too much information for the first bit and it stretched out over slides. What I learnt from creating this slide is, how to video trim, sorting out how to efficiently download the video clips and more about my favourite fandom! This was very fun and a great opportunity to put my problem solving skills to the test. I would really appreciate for you guys to give me some feedback. Make sure it is constructive though! Here's my slide.

English

For a couple weeks in English we have been learning about the heroes journey format, that can be found in a lot of movies. For example Star wars, Harry Potter and the Never-ending story. We then made a slide showcasing some stages of the heroes journey, using some clips from The Never-ending Story. For the clips I used a YouTube video and a site called Kapwing to shorten the video into 5-15 second clips, its really easy. Are you going to try Kapwing? Here's my slide!
